Reyna Ramolete Hayashi is the Aloha ‘Āina Project Manager at Trust for Public Land where she protects lands that perpetuate Hawaiian culture and restores land ownership and stewardship to Native Hawaiian organizations. Since joining TPL in 2019, Reyna has worked to protect and return over 5,000 acres of land and nine special wahi pana across Hawai‘i. Reyna works in partnership with communities to help them plan and vision for the land’s future, engage in grassroots advocacy, navigate complex public funding processes and real estate due diligence, and grow capacity for community-based land ownership. Prior to joining TPL, she was a worker’s rights and fair housing attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i and Empire Justice Center in New York.

Born and raised in Kapālama, O‘ahu, she graduated from Moanalua High School, University of British Columbia, and Seattle University School of Law where she was a Scholar for Justice.
